Weird Kids

We Are The In Crowd recently released their music video for their new record, The Best Thing (That Never Happened) and I’m loving it so much! IMO, There’s a beat of FOB’s Save Rock and Roll to it. But then, that’s just me. But of course, you can still recognize the WATIC music style in it. What am I saying. Haha.

The music video gave me chills. I just can’t… They were so hot! Tay Jardine was so badass! Even the boys. Don’t evenget me started with Cameron Hurley! My god! I love how they wore black, dark get-up. Back to the MV, for me, the feel of it is like Paramore’s CrushCrushCrush mixed with All Time Low’s Time Bomb. Haha.

I’m gonna say support WATIC all out loud and buy their music legally on iTunes, but then I’m a broke fangirl and I love to share so… here‘s where you can download it for free. Hehe. Peace out, WATIC! I love you to hell ya know it. :D

All You Zombies

I love time travel stories. I don’t know. Those things just fascinate me. The story below is written by Robert Heinlein, which is a favorite of mine. Perhaps you’ve already read it, but for those who still haven’t, it’s awesome as sh.

A baby girl is mysteriously dropped off at an orphanage in Cleveland in 1945. “Jane” grows up lonely and dejected, not knowing who her parents are, until one day in 1963 she is strangely attracted to a drifter. She falls in love with him. But just when things are finally looking up for Jane, a series of disasters strike. First, she becomes pregnant by the drifter, who then disappears. Second, during the complicated delivery, doctors find that Jane has both sets of sex organs, and to save her life, they are forced to surgically convert “her” to a “him.” Finally, a mysterious stranger kidnaps her baby from the delivery room.

Reeling from these disasters, rejected by society, scorned by fate, “he” becomes a drunkard and drifter. Not only has Jane lost her parents and her lover, but he has lost his only child as well. Years later, in 1970, he stumbles into a lonely bar, called Pop’s Place, and spills out his pathetic story to an elderly bartender. The sympathetic bartender offers the drifter the chance to avenge the stranger who left her pregnant and abandoned, on the condition that he join the “time travelers corps.” Both of them enter a time machine, and the bartender drops off the drifter in 1963. The drifter is strangely attracted to a young orphan woman, who subsequently becomes pregnant.

The bartender then goes forward 9 months, kidnaps the baby girl from the hospital, and drops off the baby in an orphanage back in 1945. Then the bartender drops off the thoroughly confused drifter in 1985, to enlist in the time travelers corps. The drifter eventually gets his life together, becomes a respected and elderly member of the time travelers corps, and then disguises himself as a bartender and has his most difficult mission: a date with destiny, meeting a certain drifter at Pop’s Place in 1970.

The question is: Who is Jane’s mother, father, grandfather, grand mother, son, daughter, granddaughter, and grandson? The girl, the drifter, and the bartender, of course, are all the same person. These paradoxes can made your head spin, especially if you try to untangle Jane’s twisted parentage. If we drawJane’s family tree, we find that all the branches are curled inward back on themselves, as in a circle. We come to the astonishing conclusion that she is her own mother and father! She is an entire family tree unto herself.

Only You

Onew is so cute. I want to pinch his cheeks so bad. If only they were detachable, then I’d get them cheeks and stuff them up in my pillow sheets. Whut. I sound so obsessed. Haha. So now, I’m going to post here something that I’ve written on my previous blog when I was just 15.  Wait, I haven’t even introduced myself yet! Haha, well… I’m Mixi. And… I’m 18 already. And.. still addicted to SHINee, a kpop group from South Korea.

Member of SM Entertainment’s contemporary R&B boy band, SHINee. Despite being the appointed leader of the group, he tends to physically injure and publicly humiliate himself(although he just waves most of these incidents off). Due to his clumsiness, the other members diagnosed him with an untreatable “condition”.

Onew Condition

The ability to freeze the atmosphere with a lame joke or gesture; to be excessively clumsy.
  • Born December 14, 1989, under the name Lee Jinki.
  • Nicknamed “Dubu” (tofu) by his fellow members.
  • Graduated 2nd in his senior class in high school.
  • Can speak conversational Mandarin and English.

“I fell down the stairs on my way here… ”” Oh, wow, that’s, like, sooo Onew. “

Lee Jinki

Lee Jinki is the talented, amazing, wonderful leader of the Korean band SHINee. He is good with gags and trips over nothing- a condition the rest of the members call the “Onew Condition”. Jinki is also known as Tofu, Dubu, Onew. Whenever he makes a joke, he prompts the other person if they get it. Jinki is clumsy and humorous and very, very sweet. He cannot prepare for a date to save his life and is dedicated to the people he loves.

Whatever he does, it’s the Onew Condition.”
